Daddy Andre Opens Up about Marriage Love and Respect, "My Wife Owns My House".

Singer and producer Daddy Andre, born Andrew Ojjambo, over the weekend took a major step toward marriage after being introduced to the parents of his fiancée, Sylvia Suubi, in Busia.

The colourful traditional ceremony saw the singer deliver dowry and formally ask for Sylvia’s hand in marriage, marking another milestone in the couple’s love journey.

The ceremony comes shortly after the couple’s Kukyala celebration, during which Daddy Andre first visited Sylvia’s parents to formally introduce himself and begin discussions surrounding marriage and dowry.

Speaking to Spark TV, Daddy Andre opened up about love, respect and commitment, offering rare insight into how he views marriage and partnership.

“For my wife, it is a different story. I respect her and I will always cherish what we have,” he said. “She keeps my secrets and heads my home. She owns my home because she built it.”

The singer went on to stress that true commitment requires sacrifice and loyalty, noting that honouring one’s partner wholeheartedly is central to a successful marriage.

The event attracted several familiar faces from Uganda’s entertainment industry, turning the celebration into a star-studded affair. Among those in attendance were Spice Diana, Ykee Benda, John Blaq, Elijah Kitaka, Winnie Nwagi and Annet Nandujja.

While the couple has yet to announce wedding details, the latest ceremony has fans eagerly following every step of their journey to the altar.
