Shakib Knocks Out Arrowbwoy In Nairobi In Vurugu 2 Boxing Match
On Saturday night what began as a podcast challenge in 2025 finally came full circle when Ugandan socialite Shakib Cham and Kenyan singer Arrow Bwoy stepped into the ring for their long-awaited celebrity boxing showdown.
The rivalry dates back to last year when Shakib, during an appearance on the Three Truths No Lie podcast, openly challenged the Kenyan musician to a boxing match. Arrow Bwoy accepted the invitation without hesitation and confidently declared he was ready for the fight, joking that “a free meal” had presented itself.
Months later, the two finally met inside the ring at Nairobi’s Sarit Expo Centre during the Vurugu 2 celebrity boxing event.
Despite Arrow Bwoy’s confidence, it was Shakib who proved superior on the night. Drawing from his amateur boxing experience, the Ugandan overwhelmed his opponent with sharp combinations and relentless pressure.
Arrow Bwoy, who reportedly had only 20 days to prepare for the contest, struggled to cope with Shakib’s pace and precision.
The fight came to an end just 44 seconds into the second round when Arrow Bwoy slumped against the ropes, forcing the referee to stop the contest and award Shakib a second-round Technical Knockout (TKO).
The victory sparked celebrations from Shakib’s camp, with his wife, socialite Zari Hassan, sharing her excitement online following the win.
On the Kenyan side, singer Nadia Mukami applauded Arrow Bwoy for accepting the challenge and promised fans that he would bounce back stronger.
The bout was one of several knockout contests on the Vurugu 2 card, further highlighting the growing popularity of celebrity boxing across East Africa.
For Shakib Cham, however, the victory carried extra significance, as he ultimately backed up the challenge he issued a year ago and emerged with bragging rights over the Kenyan singer.
