DNA Results Comfirm Only 4 of The 25 Are The Children of The Legend Kadongo Kamu Sing Paul Kafeero

The long-running dispute over the biological children of the late Kadongo Kamu legend Paul Job Kafeero has finally been settled after DNA test results released by the Uganda Police Forensic Directorate confirmed only four of the 25 claimants as his biological children.

The results were unveiled on Thursday at Police Headquarters in Naguru, where several individuals who had laid claim to Kafeero’s paternity gathered to receive the findings. The DNA verification exercise was conducted under the supervision of the Minister for Local Government, Balaam Barugahara.

Reading the results, the Director of Forensic Services at the Uganda Police Force, Acting Assistant Inspector General of Police Andrew Mubiru, revealed that only Simon Peter Kafeero, Elizabeth Nagawa, Thomas Swazi Kafeero and Benedict Kafeero had been scientifically confirmed as biological children of the late musician.The findings bring closure to a matter that has lingered for years, with more than 20 individuals publicly claiming to be offspring of one of Uganda’s most celebrated traditional musicians.

Questions surrounding Kafeero’s biological children have persisted since his death, occasionally sparking debate among family members, fans and stakeholders interested in preserving the singer’s legacy. The growing number of claimants prompted calls for scientific verification, culminating in the DNA exercise conducted by the police forensic team.

Thursday’s announcement marks the end of months of anticipation and uncertainty for the claimants, many of whom had pinned their hopes on the results to establish their relationship with the late singer.Paul Job Kafeero remains one of the most influential figures in the history of Kadongo Kamu music. Renowned for timeless songs that resonated with ordinary Ugandans, his music continues to enjoy widespread popularity years after his passing.




With the DNA results now released, authorities believe the findings provide definitive answers to the paternity questions that have surrounded the musician’s estate and family for years, bringing an end to one of the most closely watched family disputes involving a Ugandan music icon.
